Ceva Logistics finalises Paack acquisition to expand Colis Privé into Spain and Portugal

Ceva Logistics, the freight and supply chain arm of France-based conglomerate CMA CGM, has completed the acquisition of couriers Paack Iberia and Paack France. The transaction integrates these entities into Colis Privé, the group’s European last-mile delivery business, marking a strategic move to consolidate operations across the continent.

The deal, which involves approximately 490 employees, aims to strengthen Colis Privé’s domestic network in France while enabling expansion into the e-commerce markets of Spain and Portugal. Ceva Logistics originally announced the acquisition in late June, citing the rapid growth of online retail in the Iberian peninsula as a key driver for the investment.

Paack brings a substantial operational footprint to the transaction, including 82 transfer centres and more than 5,000 active pickup points across the Iberian peninsula. In France, the acquired unit operates six urban delivery stations. The network supports retailers with deliveries to individual residences as well as out-of-home collection points, a model that aligns with Colis Privé’s existing service offerings.

Colis Privé, headquartered in the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area, currently operates a national network comprising 56 sorting hubs and operational centres, supported by approximately 5,000 delivery drivers. The acquisition follows a similar strategic move in 2025, when Colis Privé acquired MIPI, adding more than 300 delivery drivers to enhance coverage of France’s major metropolitan areas.

The expanded unit serves leading French and international e-commerce players and maintains a presence in Belgium and Luxembourg. While specific financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the integration of Paack’s infrastructure is expected to significantly scale Colis Privé’s capacity to handle parcel volumes across Southern Europe.
