Information we process

We process technical request data needed to deliver and secure the site, including IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages and diagnostic logs. If you sign in, the selected identity provider may give us your name, email address and profile image. We receive information that you send directly by email.

Analytics and advertising

Linxi News uses Google Analytics to measure readership, navigation, approximate location, device and referral information. We also use Google AdSense to deliver and measure advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics, advertising, fraud prevention and service delivery. You can control cookies through your browser and Google advertising settings.

How information is used

Information is used to operate and secure Linxi News, maintain authenticated sessions, understand aggregate readership, diagnose faults, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse and meet applicable legal obligations. Linxi News does not sell personal information.

Service providers and international processing

Identity providers, hosting and analytics suppliers may process information on our behalf and may operate outside Australia. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms. We disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect readers, the service or other people.

Retention and security

Operational logs and account information are retained only while reasonably needed for security, service operation, dispute handling or legal requirements. We use access controls, encrypted transport and restricted administration, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
