Zelenskyy links any pause in Russian strikes to US-backed commitment

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine is prepared to pause attacks on Russian territory if the United States secures Russia’s genuine, long-term commitment not to strike Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
Zelenskyy said any Ukrainian move would depend on Russia being genuinely ready to stop the war and attacks on Ukraine. He described the proposal as a de-escalatory step, rather than an agreed ceasefire or truce.
