Île-de-France Mobilités announces unprecedented summer transport overhaul
Paris and the wider Île-de-France region face significant public transport disruptions this summer due to planned major infrastructure works. Announced by Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), these works will affect RER, metro, Transilien, and tram services, with impacts expected to peak between mid-July and mid-August. The closures and reduced capacity will restrict access to key tourist destinations, including Disneyland Paris, Versailles, Notre-Dame, Montmartre, and Saint-Denis, as well as Charles-de-Gaulle Airport. Commuters and visitors are advised to consult official apps from RATP, SNCF, or IDFM and allow extra time for journeys.
