Yarmouth’s Eastern Festival opens with Watch Party among novice entries
Mike Repole’s first British runner returns at Yarmouth as meetings are also held at Uttoxeter and Wolverhampton.
Yarmouth’s Eastern Festival begins with novice racing on Tuesday, with Mike Repole’s Watch Party among the entries for the opening-day programme.
The 300,000-guineas yearling, trained by Roger Varian, is set for a second British start after a creditable debut at Newmarket. Watch Party is due to face 10 rivals, including William Haggas’s debutant Sea La Roma, a daughter of Sea The Stars and full sister to two smart types.
You’re Sensational, trained by John and Thady Gosden, and Ed Walker’s Speaking Tree are also among the Yarmouth debutants attracting attention. Ambience, running in the Amo Racing colours, is entered after finishing sixth at Newmarket.
Uttoxeter provides the day’s jumps action, where Mt Fuji Park is seeking a third win in four starts for Jonjo O’Neill’s team. Axel Bleue, who finished runner-up to Mt Fuji Park in July, is due to renew the contest.
At Wolverhampton, Oisin Murphy is reported to have seven rides as he seeks to close the gap on Billy Loughnane in the 2026 champion jockey standings. The meetings at Yarmouth, Uttoxeter and Wolverhampton will be shown live on Sky Sports Racing.
