The Golden State Warriors say Kristaps Porziņģis is unavailable indefinitely because of an undisclosed health issue, leaving his return timeline uncertain as the team opens training camp in Hawaii.
General manager Mike Dunleavy said Porziņģis was unavailable for the week and that the team was not ruling him out for the start of the season. The Warriors have not specified the health issue or confirmed whether he will miss the 2026–27 opener.
Porziņģis joined Golden State in a February trade and signed a two-year, $40 million deal this summer, according to CBS Sports. The outlet reports he appeared in 15 games for the Warriors after the trade, averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
His absence leaves the team without him at the start of camp, but the club has not announced how long that will continue.
