Trinidad Chambliss enters early 2027 NFL Draft conversation after Week 1
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has attracted fresh attention from Yahoo Sports analysts, who highlighted his pocket command while identifying questions over his size and age.

Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has moved into the early conversation around the 2027 NFL Draft following a strong Week 1 performance, according to assessments published by Yahoo Sports.
On the “Football 301” podcast, Yahoo Sports analyst Nate Tice and Dane Brugler of The Athletic praised Chambliss’ ability to operate from the pocket, read defences and deliver passes with anticipation and rhythm.
Chambliss is listed at just under 6 feet tall and previously played at Division II Ferris State. Tice said his style and physical profile recalled former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, citing his athleticism and ability to work within a pro-style system.
The analysts’ assessment also identified clear evaluation questions. Chambliss’ height places him outside the usual NFL quarterback profile, while his projected age of 25 as a rookie could concern some teams.
Tice and Brugler suggested Chambliss could attract late first-round or second-round consideration if he maintains his current trajectory. His eventual position remains uncertain, however, and will depend on continued performance and individual team evaluations.
