SportsLine has released exact score predictions for all 14 Week 2 games of the 2026 NFL season, utilising a projection model that simulates each matchup 10,000 times. The model, which holds a 53-39 record for top-rated picks since 2024, forecasts the Houston Texans will defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-21 at Reliant Stadium.
The prediction positions the Texans as the pick against the spread, with betting odds showing them at -2.5. The model indicates this spread hits 56 per cent of the time, while the over on the 46.5-point total has a 52 per cent hit rate. This follows a Week 1 performance where Houston scored 31 points against the Buffalo Bills but allowed 36.
Specific player projections for the Texans-Bengals game include C.J. Stroud throwing for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Nico Collins is projected to lead the receiving corps with nearly 80 yards, while David Montgomery is expected to rush for 65 yards. The model anticipates a defensive improvement from Houston, projecting they will hold the Bengals to just three touchdowns.
