Polymarket odds favor Scheffler and McIlroy as 2026 FedExCup Playoffs begin
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy lead the field on Polymarket as the three-week playoff journey commences, with Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick also drawing significant trading interest.
The 2026 FedExCup Playoffs officially commence on Thursday in Memphis, marking the start of the PGA Tour’s three-week postseason. As the field of 70 players prepares for the initial event, prediction market Polymarket has updated its odds, listing Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy as the leading favourites to secure the championship.
Scheffler, currently ranked No. 1 in the FedExCup standings, is priced at $0.23 per share to win the title. The American leads the PGA Tour this season with the best scoring average of 68.08 and a total strokes gained of 2.251. Having already won the 2024 FedExCup, Scheffler is seeking to add a second title to his record, which includes four major championships and 20 career Tour wins.
McIlroy, ranked No. 2, is the second favourite on Polymarket at $0.15 per share. The Northern Irishman holds a unique place in PGA Tour history as the only player to have won the FedExCup three times since its inception in 2007. Through 11 starts in 2026, McIlroy has recorded four top-10 finishes, including a victory at the Masters, and maintains the longest active win streak on Tour with nine consecutive seasons of success.
Other notable contenders include Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick. Young, ranked third in the standings, is priced at $0.08 per share following two victories this season at The PLAYERS Championship and the Cadillac Championship. He ranks second in Par 4 performance average and fourth in strokes gained tee to green. Fitzpatrick, a three-time winner in 2026, is priced at $0.06 per share and leads the Tour in strokes gained approach the green.
The playoff structure will proceed to St. Louis for the BMW Championship before concluding at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta for the TOUR Championship. This marks the second-to-last time the current FedExCup Playoffs structure will be utilised.
