Ole Miss lists Kewan Lacy as doubtful for Florida game
The running back’s left shoulder injury leaves his availability uncertain ahead of the Rebels’ game against the Gators.
Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is doubtful for the Rebels’ game against Florida after being listed on Friday’s injury report with a left shoulder injury. The designation makes him unlikely to play, but does not confirm he is out.
Lacy injured the shoulder against LSU last week. CBS Sports reported that an MRI indicated surgery would not be required. He was initially listed as questionable and described as a game-time decision.
He has 39 carries for 191 yards and four touchdowns this season, including 43 yards and a touchdown before leaving the LSU game.
If Lacy cannot play, JT Lindsey and quarterback Trinidad Chambliss could carry more of the running workload. Against LSU, Lindsey had four carries for 20 yards after Lacy was injured, while Chambliss attempted 48 passes.
Ole Miss has not confirmed a change to its offensive plan for Florida. Lacy’s final availability remains uncertain.
