Oktoberfest ended over the weekend after drawing a record 7.4 million visitors, according to France 24.

The German autumn and beer festival served 6.7 million litres of beer, the broadcaster reported.

Most attendees came from Germany. The largest foreign visitor groups were from the United States, Italy and Austria.

France 24 did not specify how attendance was counted or the period used to assess the record.
