The National Football League is reviewing footage of an exchange between line judge Jeff Seeman and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during Arizona’s 36–24 loss to the New York Giants, according to Yahoo Sports.

The exchange came with just under five minutes remaining, after McBride disputed a no-call on a pass play. Footage reportedly showed Seeman appearing to use a profane phrase twice; the exact words have not been established.

NFL Players Association executive director JC Tretter called for the official to be held accountable. He said the conduct was unacceptable and pointed to the prospect of player discipline when roles are reversed.

The NFL has not reported the review’s outcome or whether any disciplinary action will follow.
