SUBSCRIPTIONS

Meta is expanding its subscription business with Meta One bundles aimed at creators, businesses and what it calls “AI power users”. The plans combine additional features across its platforms with expanded access to Meta AI tools, including image and video generation.

The new bundle options include Core at US$7.99 a month and Premium at US$19.99. Meta continues to offer standalone subscriptions: Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus cost US$3.99 a month each, while WhatsApp Plus costs US$2.99.

Creator and business tiers start with Essential at US$14.99 a month. Meta’s Advanced plan, priced at US$49.99, includes scheduled Instagram Stories and four clickable URLs in post captions and Reels each month. Advanced and Expert, which costs US$149, also allow users to delegate account access without sharing passwords.

The top-tier Max plan costs US$499 a month and includes higher-capacity access to Meta’s business agents. Meta also advertises unlimited requests for human support, including phone-call requests with a company representative. The scope of those support benefits has not been independently verified.

Meta says Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI will remain free at their core. The company also says its existing subscriptions and trials have attracted more than 15 million sign-ups, though it has not disclosed the split between paid subscriptions and trials. Engadget reported that Meta plans eventually to extend subscription features to its Edits video-editing app and AI glasses.
