Leeds United Introduces Attendance-Based Ballot for 2026/27 Home Tickets
The club’s revised ticketing framework for the upcoming season prioritises members with high attendance records, marking a structural shift in how home fixtures are distributed.
Leeds United has announced a significant revision to its home ticketing policy for the 2026/27 season, introducing a 'Home Tracker Ballot' to replace the previous Phase 2 sales method. The change follows a review of the club’s ticketing structures, which included engagement with supporters and various groups, as well as feedback gathered throughout the 2025/26 campaign.
The new Phase 2 system is designed to reward members who demonstrated high engagement with home matches during the previous season. Specifically, My Leeds Members who attended 11 or more home fixtures, comprising both League and Cup matches, in 2025/26 will be eligible for a 50% chance of purchasing a ticket for every game in the 2026/27 season. Winners of the ballot will be notified and granted a priority window to select their own seats online.
Club officials stated that the Tracker Ballot aims to streamline the application process by removing the first-come, first-served basis that previously characterised Phase 2 sales. The institution indicated that the move is intended to ensure a fairer and more inclusive application process for all members while strengthening protections against ticket misuse, bots, and touting. This expansion of the ballot approach follows the successful implementation of an online away ballot in the last campaign.
In a move to align policy with actual supporter engagement, the club will monitor attendance at home matches during the 2026/27 season. Data on actual attendance will be used to shape the home ticket sales policy for the 2027/28 season, shifting the focus from tickets purchased to tickets used.
Ticket sales for the opening home fixture against Brentford on 30 August 2026 will adhere to the new phased approach. Phase 1, reserved for My Leeds Priority Members, opens on 14 August at 1pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Phase 2, the Tracker Ballot, opens on 17 August at 10am and closes at midnight. General admission Season Ticket Holders unable to attend the Brentford fixture can return their seats via their online account immediately.
