Eagles face offensive questions before Titans road game

The Philadelphia Eagles have begun the season with a win, but their 24–22 victory over the Washington Commanders left several issues to address before a road game against the Tennessee Titans.
Yahoo Sports reported that Philadelphia’s offensive line was inconsistent, with communication breakdowns occasionally leaving defenders unaccounted for. The Eagles also struggled to create consistent movement in the running game and frequently found themselves in long-yardage situations.
The loss of Landon Dickerson to injured reserve adds uncertainty to the unit. Drew Kendall and Willie Lampkin are potential options to replace him, although the source does not establish who will start.
Pro Football Focus’ Week 1 grades reflected some of the concerns, assigning Dickerson a 20.8 pass-blocking grade and a 47.0 run-blocking grade. Yahoo Sports cautioned that the figures should not be treated as definitive, but said they reinforced visible issues from the opening game.
Philadelphia’s offence produced decisive moments, including three touchdown passes from Jalen Hurts, two touchdown receptions by Dallas Goedert and a 22-yard Hurts scramble on third-and-18 late in the fourth quarter. However, the Eagles also recorded five three-and-outs, with their explosive plays often failing to form sustained drives.
Washington’s failure to convert a late two-point attempt preserved the result and moved Philadelphia to 1–0. The Eagles will now need greater continuity up front and a more reliable offensive rhythm against Tennessee.
