Engadget’s 3 October roundup of indie games covers new releases, upcoming titles and platform updates. The list ranges from photography puzzles in Toem 2 to sheep herding in Tiny Flock and a road-trip RPG, Keep Driving, now available on consoles.

The article also previews Star Wars: Galactic Racer, due on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 6 October. Engadget’s writer praises its racing and roguelite systems, while noting a limited number of tracks and planets. The writer had not yet tried multiplayer.

The “indie” label is less straightforward for a game based on the Star Wars franchise. Engadget points to publisher Secret Mode’s separation from Sumo Group and the new studio Fuse Games, whose team includes former Burnout and Need for Speed developers.

Platform news in the roundup includes Sifu coming to iOS and Android on 12 October, and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor arriving on PS5, Switch and Switch 2 on 7 October. It also notes a forthcoming paid expansion for Satisfactory, with new biomes, creatures and buildings.

Grave Seasons, a farming sim with a murder mystery, has been delayed to 9 March 2027, Engadget reports. The game is being developed by Perfect Garbage and published by Blumhouse Games and Solo Game.
