Fox Sports questions Cowboys’ late-game management in Ravens loss

Fox Sports’ review of Dallas’s Week 3 loss to Baltimore questions coach Brian Schottenheimer’s management of the final seconds, while stopping short of establishing that his decisions caused the defeat.
With Dallas trailing 31–28 and about 90 seconds remaining, Dak Prescott drove the Cowboys to the Ravens’ 5-yard line. Fox Sports says Schottenheimer called timeout with 20 seconds left, leaving Dallas two plays and giving Baltimore time to respond if the Cowboys tied the game with a field goal.
On third down, Prescott looked towards George Pickens near the pylon but threw a pass Fox Sports describes as uncatchable. The Cowboys did not score from close range.
Schottenheimer said he had overcoached Prescott to keep the ball high and away from danger. Prescott said he was frustrated and embarrassed that Dallas had reached the 1-yard line without scoring.
