Flagg reports new 6-foot-10 measurement, disputes 6-foot-11 claim
The Dallas Mavericks player says he is taller than last season, though the measurements cited come from different occasions.
Cooper Flagg said a physical on Thursday measured him at 6-foot-10 without shoes. Speaking to reporters at Dallas Mavericks Media Day on Friday, he rejected a 6-foot-11 figure as “not very accurate”.
Flagg said he was “like 6-foot-9” last season and confirmed he is taller now. The claim of 6-foot-11 followed an Instagram post he liked earlier this summer.
At the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, Flagg measured 6-foot-7.75 without shoes, according to Yahoo Sports. Comparing that figure with his latest reported measurement suggests growth of more than two inches, though the measurements were taken at different times.
The new measurement and Flagg’s estimate of his height last season are based on his remarks; neither is independently verified in the source material. Mavericks executive Masai Ujiri had also said Flagg grew during the offseason, without specifying a height.
