Ducks commit US$81 million to Gauthier before training camp
Anaheim has secured forward Cutter Gauthier on a six-year deal after his team-leading 2025–26 season.
The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Cutter Gauthier to a six-year, US$81 million contract on the eve of training camp, according to Yahoo Sports.
The 22-year-old will carry a US$13.5 million salary-cap hit through the 2031–32 season. The Ducks said Gauthier is expected to report to camp on time.
Gauthier led Anaheim with 41 goals and 76 points last season and was also the team’s leading playoff scorer. He has recorded 126 points in 171 games for the Ducks since joining from Philadelphia in a January 2024 trade.
The deal follows Anaheim’s decision to match a five-year, US$90 million offer sheet that Leo Carlsson signed with Philadelphia earlier this summer. The club also agreed to terminate veteran Chris Kreider’s contract, reportedly clearing US$6.5 million in salary-cap space.
General manager Pat Verbeek described Gauthier as a major part of the Ducks’ young core and praised his goal-scoring ability in a statement announcing the contract.
