New user offer coincides with model-based analysis of Cubs-White Sox and Tigers-Pirates games

DraftKings is promoting a new user incentive providing $150 in bonus bets following an initial wager of $5 or more, timed to coincide with Monday’s Major League Baseball schedule. The promotion aligns with expert analysis and model-based projections released by SportsLine, which has simulated every MLB game 10,000 times. The model entered Week 22 of the season with a 49-31 record on its top-rated MLB picks.

The SportsLine Projection Model has identified value in the Chicago Cubs versus White Sox Crosstown Classic, projecting the game to go Over 8 total runs. Historical data from May shows the teams averaged 14.3 runs per game in their three meetings, with all three contests exceeding the current total. The Cubs rank second in scoring offense at 5.16 runs per game, while the White Sox are tied for sixth at 4.83 runs per game. The model projects the Over to hit in 58.7% of simulations.

In the matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates, the model projects the Pirates to defeat the Tigers in 51% of simulations. This projection cites recent struggles for Tigers pitcher Framber Valdez, who recorded a 7.13 ERA in July and allowed four runs in 5⅔ innings against Cleveland on Wednesday. Valdez’s 4.26 career ERA is the second-highest of his nine-year MLB career. Conversely, the Pirates have scored at least eight runs in three of their last four games and are starting Carmen Mlodzinski, who holds a 3.79 ERA this season.

SportsLine expert Eric Cohen has selected the Philadelphia Phillies to win against the Miami Marlins. Cohen cited pitcher Cristopher Sanchez’s 1.41 home ERA and a 10-1 home record this season. The Marlins’ hitters have a combined .170 batting average against Sanchez, having gone 9-for-53. Cohen noted that Philadelphia has won each of Sanchez’s last five home starts by multiple runs, with a run differential of +34.

Combining the three primary picks—the Over in the Cubs-White Sox game, the Pirates to defeat the Tigers, and the Phillies to win against the Marlins—would result in a payout of +613 if bet as a parlay with a $100 stake. The SportsLine Projection Model has reportedly generated nearly 30 units of profit on home run prop picks during the 2025 season.
