The SportsLine Projection Model has identified value in the Chicago Cubs versus White Sox Crosstown Classic, projecting the game to go Over 8 total runs. Historical data from May shows the teams averaged 14.3 runs per game in their three meetings, with all three contests exceeding the current total. The Cubs rank second in scoring offense at 5.16 runs per game, while the White Sox are tied for sixth at 4.83 runs per game. The model projects the Over to hit in 58.7% of simulations.
In the matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates, the model projects the Pirates to defeat the Tigers in 51% of simulations.
