Caroline Dubois maps route to undisputed lightweight title
The unified WBC and WBO champion is targeting WBA title-holder Stephanie Han before pursuing the winner of Alycia Baumgardner’s IBF challenge against Elif Nur Turhan.
Caroline Dubois has outlined a potential path towards becoming undisputed lightweight champion, with a proposed fight against WBA title-holder Stephanie Han first on her agenda.
Dubois, who holds the WBC and WBO 135-pound titles, told Sky Sports she wants to add Han’s belt by the end of 2026 or early 2027. No fight has been confirmed or scheduled.
Her longer-term target is the winner of Alycia Baumgardner’s challenge against IBF champion Elif Nur Turhan. Sky Sports reported that bout is due to take place on 9 November, although the year was not specified in the source material.
Dubois recently defended her titles against Amelia Moore in Birmingham. She said she wants to remain active in relevant fights rather than wait for the winner of Baumgardner and Turhan to emerge.
The champion also characterised Baumgardner as intimidated, threatened and jealous, while saying she hoped the American would defeat Turhan so an undisputed title fight could be pursued.
