Burnley Women have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland international midfielder Tyler Toland on a free transfer. The Clarettes confirmed the acquisition via their official club website earlier today, securing the services of the 24-year-old on a two-year contract with an option for an additional year at Turf Moor.
Toland joins the club from Barclays WSL2 rivals Durham, where she recorded 20 appearances and scored one goal during her spell last summer. Her arrival represents a direct recruitment from a competing side in the second tier, adding experienced depth to Burnley’s midfield as they prepare for their first-ever season in the division following promotion last season.
The midfielder brings a diverse portfolio of experience across European leagues, having previously represented Sion Swifts, Manchester City, Glasgow City, Celtic, Levante, and Blackburn Rovers. On the international stage, Toland holds 27 caps for the Republic of Ireland, having scored one goal for her country.
