Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out 10 over seven innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 3-1 in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday night. The win gives Los Angeles a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.

Yamamoto allowed four hits and one run, with one walk. Atlanta’s only run against him came in the fifth, when Drake Baldwin’s bases-loaded ground ball brought in Mauricio Dubón.

The Dodgers took control in the fourth. Hernández hit a two-run homer after Andy Pages singled, then Freeman added a solo home run for a 3-0 lead.

Atlanta threatened in the ninth when Ozzie Albies doubled and reached third, but Edwin Díaz retired the next two batters to preserve the lead.

The Dodgers can advance with a win in Game 4, scheduled for Wednesday night. Miguel Rojas left during an eighth-inning at-bat with lower back pain, according to the Dodgers; the source report gave no diagnosis or recovery timeline.
