The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 3–1 in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, taking a 2–1 lead in the best-of-five series. The result puts Los Angeles one win from advancing.

Kiké Hernández opened the scoring with a two-run home run off Braves starter Chris Sale. Freddie Freeman homered two batters later, providing the Dodgers’ remaining run.

Fox Sports reported that Hernández’s homer was his 17th in the post-season, matching Freeman’s total at that point. Freeman’s shot was his 18th career post-season home run, according to the report.

Hernández has played 94 post-season games for the Dodgers, a franchise record, Fox Sports said. The outlet also noted his history of strong October performances.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto started for Los Angeles. The teams entered Game 3 level at one win apiece.
