WIRED refreshes 2026 gift guide for book lovers

WIRED has refreshed its 2026 gift guide for book lovers, adding current prices and ideas including e-reader accessories, smart lighting and LED reading devices. The guide covers gifts for readers of print and digital books, from practical equipment to items intended to make reading sessions more comfortable.
WIRED names the Kobo Libra Colour its preferred colour e-reader, citing its colour screen, page-turn buttons and optional stylus. For a Kindle, the guide’s favourite is the 12th-edition Paperwhite, which WIRED highlights for its warm front light and battery life. These are the publication’s buying-guide assessments.
The recommendations also include cases, grips and straps, book lights, page-turning accessories and stands for reading in bed. For readers who take books on the go, the guide suggests carrying bags, journals and supplies for annotating pages.
