REI’s annual Labor Day sale is due to end on 7 September, with 57 outdoor-gear deals highlighted by WIRED. Discounts reach up to 40 per cent, while REI Co-op members can save up to 20 per cent on REI Outlet items.

The sale covers REI products and equipment from brands including Nemo, MSR, Coleman, Mountain Hardwear, Big Agnes, Patagonia, Smartwool, Fjällräven, Garmin and Insta360. Featured categories include tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking equipment, footwear, water filters, cameras and satellite messengers.

WIRED updated its guide on 7 September, removing several sold-out offers and adding deals on merino base layers, backpacks, sleeping bags, socks and rain jackets. The publication said its buying guide draws partly on its product testing and also includes offers from competing retailers such as Backcountry and Fjällräven.

Among the products covered are REI’s Half Dome 2 tent, Big Agnes’s Copper Spur bike-packing tent, MSR cooking and water-filtration equipment, Patagonia apparel and Garmin satellite communicators. WIRED’s descriptions of product performance and its “best” or “favourite” selections are editorial assessments.

Prices, colours, sizes, stock levels and discount terms may vary by product and can change as the sale progresses. Shoppers should check current retailer pricing, eligibility requirements and any applicable coupon codes before purchasing.
