Victoria Starmer appears in Edeline Lee’s London Fashion Week show

Victoria Starmer appeared in Edeline Lee’s spring/summer 2027 London Fashion Week show in north London, in what The Guardian Politics described as one of her first public appearances since her husband, Keir Starmer, stepped down as prime minister.

She wore a bright turquoise knitted midi dress with white block-heeled shoes. The show was staged in a school sports hall, where models were fitted and adjusted in view of the audience while dancers performed alongside the catwalk.

Lee’s collection drew on the Greek myth of Sisyphus, in which a man is condemned to repeatedly push a boulder uphill. The designer said the concept reflected a broader sense of relentlessness and the intensive work behind a performance.

Starmer has previously attended an Edeline Lee show and has favoured contemporary British brands. Lee’s designs have also been worn by the Princess of Wales, Taylor Swift and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Her clothing choices attracted scrutiny in 2024 amid reported questions over undeclared designer garments linked to Labour peer Lord Alli. The Guardian reported that Alli had paid for a personal shopper, clothes and alterations, while Keir Starmer faced an investigation over a possible breach of parliamentary rules concerning gifts.
