United conclude pre-season tour with reunion against Milan
Manchester United face AC Milan in a final pre-season friendly at the Tarczynski Arena, marking a high-stakes return for the Portuguese manager.

Manchester United are set to conclude their pre-season tour with a friendly against AC Milan at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland. The fixture, scheduled for Saturday 15 August with a kick-off at 3.45pm BST, serves as the final preparation for the club ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
The match carries significant managerial weight as it marks a reunion for United with former head coach Ruben Amorim, who is currently in charge of AC Milan. Amorim departed the Red Devils under difficult circumstances, leaving after winning just 24 of his 63 matches in charge while the team struggled in the domestic league standings.
United’s summer tour has been largely successful despite an opening defeat to Wrexham. The squad secured victories against Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid, while also recording draws against Paris Saint-Germain and Leeds United in Dublin. In contrast, AC Milan have yet to secure a win under Amorim’s tenure, having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea and drawn with Celtic and city rivals Inter Milan.
Team selection remains a key focus for the final tune-up. Mason Mount is a doubt for United due to a foot injury sustained against PSG, but Harry Maguire is expected to return to the squad after being rested for the Leeds match. Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, and Marcus Rashford are anticipated to make their first appearances of the tour, while summer signing Andrey Santos is likely to start.
AC Milan may offer a debut to new signing Goncalo Ramos, who came off the bench against Chelsea. The match will be broadcast exclusively on Manchester United’s in-house streaming service, MUTV, with subscriptions costing £29.99 per year.
