Ugreen bets on liquid cooling for premium power bank

Ugreen has launched the MagFlow Pro, a magnetic wireless power bank that the company claims is the world’s first to incorporate a liquid cooling system. Priced at $149.99, the device sits at the premium end of the market for 10,000mAh batteries, a price point that Ugreen justifies through its proprietary thermal management technology.
The core of the MagFlow Pro’s design is a micro-pump that circulates coolant to draw heat away from internal components, including the Qi2.2-compatible wireless charging coil. This system is visible to the user through a front-facing "Cyber Window," allowing the flow of coolant to be observed directly. Ugreen states that this approach works alongside copper foil and a separated component layout to reduce heat buildup.
The primary goal of the cooling architecture is to prolong the lifespan of both the power bank’s battery and the connected device, while maintaining up to 25W of wireless power delivery. By keeping the unit cooler to the touch during extended charging sessions, Ugreen aims to differentiate the MagFlow Pro from standard competitors that rely solely on passive heat dissipation.
Beyond wireless capabilities, the power bank offers robust wired charging options. It features a built-in USB-C cable lanyard and a dedicated USB-C port, both capable of delivering up to 45W. However, investors and consumers should note that 45W represents the maximum total output of the device. Consequently, connecting multiple devices simultaneously will reduce the individual charging rates for each port.
The launch positions Ugreen in a competitive segment where performance and thermal efficiency are becoming key selling points. While the "world’s first" designation for liquid-cooled power banks is a marketing assertion that has not been independently verified, the visible engineering offers a tangible demonstration of the technology’s presence.
For the average consumer, the MagFlow Pro represents a significant step up in price for a standard capacity battery. The value proposition rests on the assumption that active cooling will provide meaningful benefits in battery longevity and sustained power output, justifying the premium over more conventional 10,000mAh alternatives.
