The event serves as the final media engagement before the promotion’s championship doubleheader, which is set to take place on Saturday and will be broadcast via Paramount+.
The press conference, which begins at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT), will feature the four primary combatants involved in the night’s title bouts. White will oversee the proceedings as Islam Makhachev, Ian Machado Garry, Mackenzie Dern, and Gillian Robertson address the media ahead of their respective championship engagements.
The main event pits current welterweight champion Islam Makhachev against challenger Ian Machado Garry. Makhachev, holding a professional record of 28-1 MMA and 17-1 within the UFC, defends his title against Garry, who enters the bout with a 17-1 MMA record and a 10-1 UFC record.
In the co-headliner, Mackenzie Dern makes her first strawweight title defence against Gillian Robertson. Dern, who holds a 16-5 MMA record and an 11-5 UFC record, faces Robertson, who boasts a 17-8 MMA record and a 14-6 UFC record. The bout marks a significant divisional transition for Dern as she seeks to establish her standing in the strawweight category.
