Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Justin Boone has named running back Tank Bigsby his leading overall waiver-wire pick for Week 5. The guide ranks available players by position and offers suggested bids for fantasy managers.

The recommendations cover players rostered in fewer than 50 per cent of Yahoo leagues. Boone’s top 10 also includes running backs Keaton Mitchell, Emanuel Wilson, Mike Washington Jr. and Tyler Allgeier; receivers Malik Washington, Keon Coleman and Tre’ Harris; tight end Mike Gesicki; and quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

Suggested free-agent budget bids are calculated against a $100 cap. For Brissett, listed as a short-term streaming option, Boone suggests a $2 bid. The guide cites Detroit’s results against opposing quarterbacks through the first four weeks, while cautioning that Brissett may not offer a long-term solution.

The guide also flags injuries to consider, including those affecting Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Ja’Marr Chase and Rashee Rice. Carolina and Kansas City are listed as teams on bye.

The supplied article text cuts off during its discussion of Bigsby and Will Shipley, limiting what can be assessed about the full player analysis.
