The Manchester Super Giants have advanced to The Hundred men’s final after defeating SunRisers Leeds by 20 runs in the eliminator at The Kia Oval. The victory sets up a championship clash against the Trent Rockets at Lord’s on Sunday, 16 August, with the men’s final scheduled to begin at 6pm and broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Manchester’s innings was anchored by a pivotal 114-run partnership between Paul Walter and Heinrich Klaasen, which included 13 sixes. Walter top-scored with 80 off 46 balls, while Klaasen contributed 63 off just 26 deliveries. This explosive opening stand propelled the Super Giants to a total of 186-4 from their 100 balls, providing a substantial target for their opponents.

SunRisers Leeds mounted a significant challenge through a 81-run stand between Harry Brook, who scored 49 off 31 balls, and Ryan Rickelton, who remained not out on 54 off 34 balls. However, their pursuit was halted by the bowling performance of Josh Tongue, who claimed 4-26. Tongue’s figures were instrumental in restricting Leeds and securing the win for Manchester.

Manchester Super Giants captain Jos Buttler highlighted the team’s improvement in fielding as a key factor in their success. The Rockets earned their place in the final through consistent performance throughout the competition. The women’s final is scheduled for 2.15pm on the same day, preceding the men’s decider at Lord’s.
