2026 NBA Western Conference finals odds, predictions: Thunder vs. Spurs Game 3 picks by expert on 134-94 run
San Antonio looks to take 2-1 series lead as SportsLine expert projects high-scoring affair

The San Antonio Spurs will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Western Conference Finals on Friday, seeking to establish a 2-1 series advantage. The best-of-seven series is currently tied 1-1 after the teams split the opening two games in Oklahoma City, a result that granted San Antonio home-court advantage for the remainder of the playoffs. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET at the Frost Bank Center.

Betting markets have adjusted to the series dynamics, with FanDuel Sportsbook listing the Spurs as 1.5-point favourites. The over/under for total points is set at 217.5, a figure that mirrors the total from Game 2, which saw the teams score 235 points in regulation time. Despite the offensive output in previous games, this current total represents the third-lowest for a Spurs game this season.

Injury reports have introduced uncertainty ahead of the contest. San Antonio is dealing with notable issues in the backcourt, with De'Aaron Fox listed as questionable due to an ankle injury and Dylan Harper questionable with an adductor issue. Oklahoma City faces similar challenges, with forward Jalen Williams listed as questionable for a hamstring injury.

SportsLine expert Mike Barner, who holds a 134-94 record on all NBA picks during this span, has predicted the over on total points for the game. Barner’s model projects that the total will clear, citing that four of seven games between these teams this season have exceeded the over/under line. Additionally, Thunder games have gone over the total at a 57 per cent clip this season.

Barner noted that the high-scoring nature of the series is supported by recent performance data, including Game 1’s 237 combined points in double overtime. He highlighted that role players such as Ajay Mitchell have thrived when Williams has been sidelined, potentially sustaining the Thunder’s offence. Furthermore, the expectation is that role players will perform better at home, which could bolster the Spurs’ bench if Fox and Harper are unable to play. The SportsLine model enters the conference finals with a reported record of 26-10 on top-rated NBA spread picks during the 2026 playoffs.
