SportsLine model favours Bears and Vikings in NFL Week 1 markets
A 10,000-simulation model projects Chicago to beat Carolina 27–23 and Minnesota to defeat Green Bay 22–20.

SportsLine’s model has selected Chicago and Minnesota as its projected winners in two NFL Week 1 prediction markets, according to a CBS Sports report.
The model, which SportsLine says is based on 10,000 simulations of NFL games, forecasts the Bears to defeat the Panthers 27–23 when Carolina hosts Chicago. Kalshi prices Chicago at $0.59 per share and Carolina at $0.41.
Chicago finished the previous season 11–6, while Carolina won the NFC South with an 8–9 record, according to the supplied report. Those records and the forecast are attributed to SportsLine and have not been independently corroborated in the source material.
In the NFC North matchup, SportsLine projects Minnesota to beat Green Bay 22–20. Kalshi prices the Vikings at $0.52 per share, compared with $0.48 for the Packers. The game is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
The report says Minnesota finished 9–8 last season and Green Bay ended 9–7–1. It also says the Vikings have won three of the past four meetings between the teams, while Green Bay leads the all-time series 67–61, with three draws.
