Sooryavanshi anchors Rajasthan Royals’ 214 for 6 in IPL 2026 Qualifier 2
Rajasthan Royals post commanding total in Mullanpur as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Ravindra Jadeja steer team through high-pressure playoff clash

Rajasthan Royals secured a formidable total of 214 for 6 in their IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on May 29, 2026. The innings was anchored by a 96-run knock from opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who faced 47 deliveries and included eight fours and seven sixes in his assault.
Sooryavanshi’s performance continued a dominant run for the teenage sensation, who has emerged as one of the breakout stars of the IPL 2026 season. Prior to this match, five of his seven fifty-plus scores in the tournament had been achieved in 17 balls or fewer. However, his latest innings presented a statistical anomaly, as he reached his half-century in 28 deliveries. This marked the slowest fifty of his IPL career, trailing his previous record of 27 balls, which was set against Chennai Super Kings in Delhi last year.
Despite the comparatively measured pace of his early innings, Sooryavanshi maintained aggressive intent, tearing through the Gujarat Titans bowling attack across both pace and spin options. He fell short of a century but ensured Rajasthan Royals remained in control for the majority of their innings, providing a solid platform for the middle order to accelerate.
The Royals received crucial support from Ravindra Jadeja, who finished unbeaten on 45, and Donovan Ferreira, who contributed a rapid 38 not out off just 11 balls. Ferreira’s brief cameo included four sixes, adding significant momentum to the team’s total as they navigated the final overs of their innings.
For Gujarat Titans, who entered the playoff with momentum from a recent victory over Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad, the batting target proved difficult to dismantle. Jason Holder was the most economical bowler for the Titans, taking two wickets for 27 runs in his four overs, but the Royals’ batting depth ultimately secured a high-scoring platform for the knockout stage.
