The SMU–Florida State game began nearly two hours late on Monday after a power outage disrupted Doak Campbell Stadium shortly before the scheduled 7.30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Fox Sports reported that stadium officials attributed the outage to an electrical short affecting the west-side tower’s main transformer. Technical staff were working to restore service while administrators considered whether the game could proceed.

The teams had emerged from their tunnels before the disruption and were later scheduled to warm up before a revised 9.15 p.m. ET start.

The game went ahead with only some stadium lights operating. Reports said video replay, functioning scoreboards, public-address speakers, referee microphones, sideline iPads and coach-to-player helmet communications were unavailable.

The available material did not report a result or final score.
