Smith sets Ohio State receiving records in win over Iowa
The receiver caught 11 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns as the fifth-ranked Buckeyes beat No. 14 Iowa 31–14.

Jeremiah Smith set Ohio State career records for receiving touchdowns and receptions in the Buckeyes’ 31–14 win over Iowa on 3 October, while extending his school record for receiving yards.
Smith finished with 11 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns. His 57-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter was his 36th career receiving touchdown, moving him past Chris Olave’s previous mark of 35.
Four minutes later, Smith caught his 10th pass of the game to pass Emeka Egbuka for Ohio State’s career receptions record.
Smith had already taken the school’s career receiving-yards record from Michael Jenkins on 19 September, surpassing Jenkins’ 2,898 yards against Kent State.
Fox Sports reported after the game that Smith was the +105 favourite to win the Heisman Trophy.
