Shelton set for Tsitsipas test in US Open fourth round
Eighth seed Ben Shelton is scheduled to meet Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first night-session match at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday.

Ben Shelton is scheduled to face Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the 2026 US Open on Sunday, 6 September, with the match listed to begin at 7 p.m. ET at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Yahoo Sports reported that the contest is the first scheduled match of the night session, with ESPN listed as the broadcaster. Streaming availability may vary by location and subscription.
Shelton, the eighth seed, reached the round of 16 after defeating Denis Shapovalov in four sets. He is seeking to improve on his 2023 US Open campaign, when he reached the semi-finals.
Tsitsipas is listed as the world No. 53, having previously risen to No. 3. He won the pair’s only previous meeting, at Cincinnati in 2023.
The winner is scheduled to meet either Carlos Alcaraz or Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals.
