Sexton says Doncic’s Slovenia minicamp built Lakers cohesion

New Los Angeles Lakers guard Collin Sexton has described Luka Doncic’s minicamp in Slovenia as a team-building exercise designed to help a reshaped roster develop cohesion away from the United States.

Sexton said the gathering showed Doncic was serious about taking on a leadership role with the Lakers. His comments, reported by Yahoo Sports, attributed the minicamp’s value to time spent together both on and off the court.

The players took part in rowing, golf, cycling and sightseeing during the trip. Sexton said the activities helped teammates get to know one another and felt natural rather than forced.

Rowing proved challenging for Sexton, who said he struggled to stay in sync, but he described the activity as enjoyable. He said the players’ days were filled with different events and that the group had a good time.
