Satirical AI post calls for global pause while exempting fictional lab

Xe Iaso has published an overtly satirical post calling for a global pause in frontier artificial-intelligence research and development, while proposing that Techaro’s Lygma AGI lab continue its work.

The 12 September post, titled “Everyone should slow down AI development except for me”, jokes that the pause would allow Lygma to catch up with other developers and pursue artificial general intelligence through its purported Intelliga model series.

The piece frames rapid progress in generative AI as a possible source of poor user experiences, job displacement and societal collapse. It also invokes familiar concerns about alignment, human interests and catastrophic scenarios linked to advanced AI.

Its references to Lygma, Intelliga, the Mimi system and a benchmark called FelonyBench form part of the humour. The source material does not independently verify that the named lab, systems or benchmark exist.
