Salah hat-trick delivers Trabzonspor’s 4–0 defeat of Galatasaray

Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick and provided an assist as Trabzonspor defeated defending Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray 4–0 at home, according to Al Jazeera.

Salah opened the scoring in the fourth minute before setting up Noah Saviolo for Trabzonspor’s second in the 39th. He added another five minutes later, with the home side taking a 3–0 lead into half-time.

The Egyptian forward completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute. Al Jazeera reported that Salah has scored seven league goals in six appearances this season and has two assists.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk was sent off to the stands in the 71st minute, while Lesley Ugochukwu received a red card in the 87th.

The result marked Galatasaray’s first league defeat of the season. Al Jazeera reported that Trabzonspor were fifth with 10 points from six matches, three points behind the leaders.

The match was Thomas Reis’s first week in charge of Trabzonspor following Fatih Tekke’s departure earlier this month.
