The Atlanta Dream completed a first-round sweep of the Washington Mystics with a 93–75 Game 2 win on 30 September, advancing to the WNBA semi-finals for the first time since 2018.

Reese was called for taunting with 4:08 remaining in the fourth quarter. After blocking Michaela Onyenwere and taking the rebound, Reese exchanged words with the Mystics forward, who swatted the ball from her hand.

Reese finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two assists, alongside four personal fouls. The game had 53 combined personal fouls, four short of the playoff record reported by USA TODAY.

Her technical was her first of the 2026 playoffs. Her seven regular-season technicals did not carry over, as the count resets for the postseason.

Atlanta, the No. 4 seed, is set to meet the No. 8 seed New York Liberty in a best-of-five semi-final series and will have home-court advantage.
