Philips brings AI-guided Sonicare toothbrush to US and Europe
The $379.99 DiamondClean 9900 Prestige uses motion tracking and Philips’ AI features to offer brushing feedback. A broader global rollout is expected in 2027.
Philips’ Sonicare Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige is now available in the US and Europe for $379.99, ahead of a broader global rollout expected in 2027. Philips announced the model in July and had anticipated a limited launch later in the year.
The toothbrush’s touchscreen provides eight cleaning modes and three intensity levels, including gentler settings for sensitive teeth or gums. A 12-segment mouth map indicates areas where the device thinks brushing may need to be repeated.
Philips says motion tracking, its SenseIQ technology and a third-generation AI model provide feedback on brushing pressure and technique. The device can also adjust vibration intensity based on how the user brushes.
The previous version remains on sale and is discounted from $429.99. The new model’s US launch price is also below the $499 listed for Dyson’s CameraJet smart toothbrush.
Philips has not specified which European markets are included or when the wider 2027 rollout will take place.
