Alex Palou has emerged as the leading betting favourite for the final race of the 2026 INDYCAR season, with the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey scheduled for Sunday at Laguna Seca.

Fox Sports reported DraftKings had Palou listed at 20/31 on 6 September, ahead of Scott McLaughlin at 4/1 and Christian Lundgaard at 7/1. Kyle Kirkwood and Felix Rosenqvist were both listed at 8/1.

Palou has already secured his fifth INDYCAR championship and fourth consecutive title. His 2026 campaign has included eight poles, six wins and 673 laps led.

The champion also won at Laguna Seca in 2025, finishing ahead of Lundgaard, with Colton Herta third. Pato O’Ward enters the race after winning both Milwaukee events and was listed at 18/1.

The race is scheduled to start at 2.30pm ET on 6 September. Betting odds reflect market expectations and may change; they do not guarantee the result. Fox Sports disclosed that it may receive compensation from legal sports betting partners.
