Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry says it summoned India’s charge d’affaires on Saturday to protest the deaths of two Pakistani civilians in the Bedian sector along the international border on Friday. The ministry said another person was reportedly wounded.

Pakistan attributed the deaths to Indian Border Security Force personnel and called their use of force unjustified. The account comes from the Pakistani ministry and has not been independently confirmed in the source material.

The ministry urged India to conduct an immediate, transparent and credible investigation, take disciplinary and legal action against anyone found responsible, and communicate its findings and actions to Pakistan.
