Ohio State opens as 52.5-point favourite against Kent State
The opening spread follows Ohio State’s 24–23 loss to Texas in Week 2, in which the Buckeyes surrendered a 20-point fourth-quarter lead.

Ohio State has opened as a 52.5-point favourite against Kent State in Week 3, with an over/under total of 57.5 points, according to Yahoo Sports.
The line follows Ohio State’s 24–23 loss to Texas, which completed a comeback from a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit. Texas scored 21 unanswered points and secured the winning touchdown with 25 seconds remaining.
Yahoo Sports reported that Ohio State’s second-half offence struggled after quarterback Julian Sayin completed 12 of 16 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown in the opening half. The Buckeyes’ second-half drives ended with punts, a field goal and a missed field goal.
Jeremiah Smith was Ohio State’s leading receiving threat against Texas, catching eight passes for 164 yards and a touchdown. Two other wide receivers combined for two catches and 24 yards, according to the report.
Yahoo Sports also attributed the loss to defensive lapses, including three consecutive touchdown drives by Texas and two fourth-down conversions. Ohio State is scheduled to face Indiana on 17 October.
