Nvidia has raised the price of its Shield TV Pro from US$199.99 to US$299, effective 2 October 2026. The company told Ars Technica that component costs, including memory, had increased substantially across the industry.

The latest Shield TV Pro model launched in 2019. It remains in production, while Nvidia has discontinued the non-Pro model, which launched at US$149.99.

Nvidia did not quantify how much memory or other components contributed to the increase. Its explanation cited broad cost pressures rather than attributing the change directly to AI demand.

Ars Technica reported that the device was available at Best Buy at the new price but remained out of stock on Nvidia’s store. The source did not provide Nvidia’s explanation for the stock situation.
