Notre Dame and Michigan State renew Battle for the Megaphone in Week 3

No. 3 Notre Dame will host Michigan State in Week 3 with both teams entering the Battle for the Megaphone at 2-0. The meeting in South Bend will be the first between the programmes since 2017.

Notre Dame opened the season with wins over Wisconsin, 41-13, and Rice, 52-0. Quarterback CJ Carr has completed 35 of 49 passes for 492 yards and six touchdowns across the opening two games.

The Fighting Irish are widely regarded as championship contenders, while Michigan State is attempting to recover from several losing seasons. The Spartans are coached by former Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
