Newcastle lead Premier League quartet into League Cup fourth round
Newcastle, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Sunderland progressed after Tuesday’s matches, according to the Associated Press account published by Yahoo Sports.

Newcastle advanced to the fourth round of the English League Cup with a 1-0 win over Millwall, secured by Joseph Willock’s 81st-minute goal.
The result extended what Yahoo Sports described as Newcastle’s unbeaten start to the season. The club won the competition in 2025, ending what the source characterised as a decades-long wait for major silverware.
Bournemouth produced the largest win among the four Premier League sides, defeating second-division Lincoln 4-0. Ryan Christie scored a hat-trick, while Brazil international Rayan was also on target.
Sunderland defeated Hull 1-0 in an all-Premier League match, with Chemsdine Talbi scoring the only goal. Crystal Palace beat second-division Middlesbrough 3-0, with Jørgen Strand Larsen scoring twice.
Bradford also progressed after beating Leyton Orient 3-1 in an all-third-division match.
