Photographs of missing people have been displayed at Kathmandu’s public hospital and outside the military base in Bidur. Families are arriving in the hope of receiving information about relatives whose whereabouts remain unknown.
Rescue teams are conducting repeated helicopter flights because some remote communities remain cut off by road. Air access has become central to efforts to reach isolated areas, assist survivors and identify victims.
Civil society groups have also mobilised, with Nepal’s Generation Z among those supporting humanitarian operations. A convoy has travelled from Kathmandu towards Betrawati along one of the country’s most difficult roads.
